Education:
Nancye has been painting actively for over 40 years, her dedication to increase her skill has led her to take workshops with such masters as Tim Diebler, Gwen Fox, Barbara Meikle, Coni Grant, Keith Bond, and Peggy Judy. She studied extensively with Joan Hanley, graduate of the Art Institute of Chicago and accomplished painter Deb Komitor of Colorado Springs, CO.
Style:
Having painted in various mediums, she has chosen oil as her medium of choice and prefers to paint on archival panels gessoed in white or black. Nancye’s earlier work in oil has been a realistic portrayal of the landscape. She is changing her palette and is painting in a more impressionistic, bold and colorful style. She has recently added acetate as a substrate for oils.
